Femblossom Heat

A while back, I did a few reviews of emotional bliss products. Their line is simple, direct and to the point – two (previously three) styles of hand held, rechargeable massagers, plus two different rechargeable, fingertip bullets. I was blown away with their instruction manual (IT HAS GRAPHS! GRAPHS!!!!!!!), plus all of their anatomical promises and rather nifty features, like material that is antibacterial by nature (how cool is that) and little pumptop bottles of lube included every time to get things slick. However, my experience with the Womolia was lackluster, at best, leaving me wondering if their massagers would ever actually be worth my time. Well, let me tell you – they are worth my time, especially now that they heat as well as vibrate!

In A Nutshell: A uniquely shaped, rechargeable vibrator that vibrates the whole vulva, plus it heats up!

What’s Awesome? The vibrations are strong, and the material is naturally antibacterial. Plus, it features some really interesting pulsation patterns.

What’s Not So Awesome? This is certainly a vibe for women who like their whole vulva vibrated – this is not for “pin-point” girls. Also, compared to my other rechargeable toys, this one seems to lose its charge faster.

A special thanks to Emotional Bliss for sending me a Flemblossom Heat to try out and review.

The Femblossom from Emotional Bliss, is lovely. It’s shape, kind of like a petal, or perhaps a cobra, is designed so that it can cup the entire vulva. The inner surface of the vibrator is coated with a material that is antibacterial. Yes, you read that right – a simple wipe down with a damp cloth, and a few minutes later the Femblossom is decently disinfected! Pretty cool, huh?

The rest of the vibrator is hard plastic, and all in all it is very light to hold. The Femblossom recharges via a charging port, and must be charge 12 hours before its initial use. As compared to other rechargeables I have, I find the Femblossom is often without charge after a few days of sitting in a drawer, which is unfortunate. But, for reasons I am getting to, it’s not the kind of vibe I would pull out on a spur of the moment masturbation session anyways.

On its head, there are three buttons – power, and +/-. The Plus and minus cycle through the nine Emotional Bliss patterns. This is a change over the way the (non-heat) Womolia I previously reviewed worked, and it’s for the better. There are three vibration levels – the lowest is actually decently strong, so you might imagine the highest is impressive – that rival the power one gets from a plug in massager. The patterns that the Femblossom offers are simple pulsations, and then finally a series of interesting escalations. I know this is really silly, but setting eight makes the Femblossom sound like it is saying “Waaaallllll-eeeeeee” as per the Disney film. Needless to say, I avoid that one when I use it.

So, how is it in use?

Well, I really like this toy. It matches astonishingly well with most of my favorite dildos. I am really a fan of wide and dispersed vibration (go hitachi!) and this is as wide as you can get. I have trouble getting off on it alone, but using it while I massage my gspot guarantees a fast and amazing orgasm every single time. The heating feature is truly divine – the pad heats up to a hot-water-bottle kind of level and stays there, and it just feels decadent as a result. I’m guessing the heat increases blood flow to the area, heightening sensitivity and arousal.

Whatever – it works. When I try and get off using this all by itself, however, I do usually end up using the tip of the toy (which is the center of vibrations) to give me somewhat direct stimulation on my clit. But, perhaps I just have not been patient enough, because when I use it over my vulva it sure feels good…
